Astuce glycémie stable

Our tips for regulating your blood sugar during the holidays 🎄!

It's holiday time, an opportunity to reunite with loved ones and enjoy a good meal. But when you follow a low GI diet, the holiday season is not necessarily the easiest. We are therefore sharing with you some little tips to apply.

👉 Watch out for the aperitif!

Don't skip on toast, chips and other industrial aperitif cakes and prefer sticks of raw vegetables, olives, guacamole, seafood... which will be much nicer for your blood sugar levels!

👉 Hydrate yourself!

Remember to hydrate well throughout the evening with water. Even opt for water rich in sodium bicarbonate like St Yorre, Rozanna or Badoit, which will help you digest!

👉 What to choose for a toast?

If you want to toast with a glass of alcohol, prefer wine and champagne to beer and cocktails which contain a lot of sugar! And we don't think about it enough but cider can be a good alternative because its GI is lower than most other alcoholic drinks ;)!

👉 Swap the white baguette for wholemeal bread

Wholemeal, rye or cereal, these breads are rich in fiber and vitamins!

👉 Give pride of place to vegetables

Vegetables should make up the largest portion of your plate. Also, be light on the sauces.

👉 And for dessert?

If you haven't opted for the Oh Yes log! with a low glycemic index, you can still prepare a beautiful fruit salad or an iced log which will be lighter than a traditional pastry log.

👉 Above all, don't forget to treat yourself!

🎄 By the way, don't forget to reserve your logs for store collection or delivery to the inner suburbs directly here ! Store hours for the holidays:
